Boond continues to work towards building social capital to generate last mile impact and strives to go beyond basic energy access. We do this by partner with grassroot NGOs and social enterprises, as well as, some of the countries top companies to help translate their CSR vision into projects on the ground. We have executed a variety of social infrastructure projects connecting solar to education, livelihood, health, lighting and other energy needs of underserved communities.

BOOND in collaboration with Columbia University has innovated one of its kind pre-paid model to provide solar power to the scattered and remote communities of UP and Rajasthan. Through this approach a person is free of any fixed fee to use solar energy and can pay for only as much as they use.

Boond has powered more than 300 milk collection centers in rural villages of Unnao district. Working in collaboration with local milk cooperative, Boond engineered customize solutions to power quality control instruments at various collection centers. The impact on the dairy supply was multifold. Supply chain became more efficient, Improved Quality Control, No Middle-man, profit goes directly to the seller, Reduced cost and Energy use

There are umpteen numbers of students in Indian villagesthat cannot study at night because there is no light. In association with Mr. Keepi foundation BOOND provides lighting solutions at the remotest and very scattered areas of Western India. Powering better education system through uninterrupted and affordable lighting solutions.

This project aims at improving the quality of education provided in rural schools by devising solar powered digital education program, that brings the whole world of knowledge to students of schools where even the basic infrastructure is missing.

Boond aims to provide uninterrupted energy access to rural healthcare centers and improve upon the quality of healthcare facilities. To deliver the same we partnered with grass root organizations like KARMA healthcare & Aajeevika Bureau to understand the correlation between energy access & quality of healthcare services delivered.

Children are curious and inquisitive and if given avenues to explore they can create a whole world of knowledge for themselves and others. Following the renowned concept of Hole in the Wall, solar powered computers for community use especially kids in rural areas to use computer at ease of access and give them opportunity to catalyze their learning cycle.
