The Boond mission is to solve some of the biggest global challenges - adequate lighting, access to clean drinking water and pest control affecting the remote areas of the world. Through its innovative environment friendly products and sustainable business oriented approach.
Rustam (Russ) Sengupta, Founder & Boond Officer (Corporate)
Russ graduated from INSEAD with a burning desire to do something different and work for developing those less fortunate than himself.
He has been a banker for Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, a consultant for Deloitte Consulting in US and a researcher for ICOS Vision Systems in Belgium, having lived and worked in five countries across the globe. He also holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Irvine besides the MBA from INSEAD.
After quitting his finance job in September 2009, Russ has been working with NGOs, manufacturers and villagers to design and develop the Boond products, model and supply chain.
His responsibility is to make Boond work and become sustainable on its own two feet. He gets his energy from the realisation that he is working on some of the biggest challenges that the world has ever faced and every minute that he puts into Boond helps to make a social impact.
Bharat Varshney, Vice President (Products)
Bharat’s dream is to enhance the livelihood of rural poor through low-cost eco friendly technologies.
To convert his dream into reality, Bharat, a Masters Degree holder from the IIT Delhi, quitted his General Electric (GE) job in May 2010. Since then he is working with NGOs and social enterprises to gain expertise in productivity enhancing rural products.
Bharat heads Boond product team and is responsible for sourcing, testing as well as preparing the training & servicing module for Boond products. Further, he is driving Boond’s B2B CSR sales and also looks for social and environment impact assessment of Boond products.
A traveling enthusiast, Bharat has traveled to 12 countries and has won many International and National level awards. He is truly dedicated to the social sector and is a true entrepreneur at heart. He brings extensive engineering and product management expertise to Boond.
Kaustubh Prasad (VP, Online Marketing & Strategy)
Kaustubh is the Managing Director of Sudyog Infraprojects (P) Ltd. and a B. S. in Computer Science and in Economics from University of Wisconsin – Madison. He leads the marketing and brand development efforts for Boond in North India.
K.V.Kanchana (VP, Business Development and Communications)
After a long stint in the corporate world both in India and the US, Kanchana joined the Boond team to do something selfless and useful to less fortunate individuals in society. Besides implementing the Boond model in various parts of India, she also handles the portfolio of Corporate Communications for Boond.
Tarun Kalra, Head, Technology
 Tarun, a former consultant at Xansa, along with his team, has played a major role in bringing Boond.net to life. He and his team have been instrumental in helping spread the message of Boond.
After quitting his job in August 2004 at Xansa, Tarun decided to turn his dream into reality with a venture of his own and soon started "Design Mantras".
Design Mantras based in Delhi, India was formed as the result of his dream to develop a design and development company catering to the design needs of today's demanding customer. The driving force behind the company is the passion, dedication, and commitment of the firm to satisfy and fulfill the design needs of its customers with assured quality and on time.
He has also been the head of Graphic Departments of Zee TV and was instrumental in the production of the first Live Television show on the channel.
He has worked on various national and international projects.

Mr. Sachin Joshi, Director, Confederation of Indian Industries, India
Mr. Joshi advises Boond on corporate strategy, business model and logistics. He is a strong supporter of the Boond model and works on numerous social projects in his personal capacity.
Mr. Michael Anthony, Vice President, Microinsurance, Allianz, Germany
Mr. Anthony mentors Boond on global marketing and sales. His vast experience in numerous countries is invaluable to Boond and he actively promotes the Boond model through his network and contacts.
Mr. N. P. Sengupta ex- General Manager, Indian Airlines, India
Mr. Sengupta advises Boond on logistics, inventory management and human resource management. He has more than 30 years of experience working for the public sector and government agencies in India and also trains the Boond Officers in HR and marketing techniques.
Ms. Jennifer Nguyen, Senior Consultant, Deloitte Consulting, USA
Ms. Nguyen helps Boond with website development and content management and also on corporate strategy and business model. A student of the Graduate Business School, University of Chicago, Jennifer also spearhead the global marketing effort for students.
Mr. Mudit Sharma
Mudit is presently working with Oxfam and has been active in the development space for the past two years. He is an INSEAD alumnus and helps Boond in sourcing of products, marketing and fund raising.
Mr. Caesar Sengupta, Director, Google, USA
Mr. Sengupta advises Boond on technology and financial strategy, advocating the Boond model in California.
Ms. Karin Wenger, Special Correspondent, Swiss Radio, Switzerland
Ms. Wenger mentors Boond on corporate strategy and marketing. She is a strong advocate of the Boond model and promotes Boond through her network and contacts in Europe.
Ms. Neerja Raman
Ms. Raman advises Boond on its business model and sustainability challenges. She is a visiting scholar at Stanford University and a former director of HP Labs.
Gauri Gill
Gauri Gill is a internationally renowned photographer. She is passionate about development in India and supports the Boond model and team with advise and contacts.
Mr. Rahul Dravid - Architect
Rahul is a strong advocate of change in our society through constructive action and not just cynicism. He believes the future generation should look up towards entrepreneurs like Rustam and trust them to bring development though initiatives like Boond in the actual India that everyone seems to have forgotten about.
Mr. Maneesh Agarwal
Mr. Agarwal is a Chartered Accountant and provides the young team with valuable legal and accounting insights. He is also a well renowned philanthropist working for the social benefit for the people of Jhunjhunu.

Bhaskar Deol
Bhaskar is an INSEAD alumnus and a freelance consultant based in London. He has worked with KLA Tencor, Syngenta and Bloomberg and markets Boond in U.K and Europe.
Preeti Asthana
Preeti is an MBA in marketing with experience in telecom and consulting. She is presently pursuing a course in Project Management Strategy from the University of Chicago. Preeti is also passionate about painting and writing. She promotes the Boond brand in U.S.A
Amit Aneja
Amit has been involved in various global supply chain verticals and has been doing short-term consulting work in the energy and environment sector since he returned from Indonesia, where he was involved in logistics management for Oil & Gas sector.
For past 5 years, Amit is working with energy major ALSTOM and was instrumental in developing low cost suppliers within India and China for worldwide projects being executed in Middle east and Europe.Fundamentally, Amit seeks enjoyment in connecting with people, integrating/analyzing & implementing ideas with help of his social and professional networks and communicating.
Amit market Boond to environmental organizations and social funds and is a also a regular contributor to the Boond newsletter.

Amrish Gupta
Amrish is a USC alumnus and a Team Lead at Capgemini. He leads Boond marketing and brand development in U.S.A.
Abhijeet Mukherjee
Abhijeet has done his MCA from IGNOU and an Executive Management program in IT from IIM Calcutta, and holds Diploma in Indian Cyber Laws from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. He helps Boond with legal counsel as well as IT help.
Iqbal Bashar
Iqbal is presently working in finance at Citibank and has a Masters in Economics from Singapore Management University. He helps Boond in marketing the concept in Singapore and South East Asia.
Abhinav Darbari
Abhinav is an Economics graduate and holds an MBA degree in marketing. A Senior manager at Citibank in Delhi where he manages their high end banking relationships, his interests span a broad range of sectors from Microfinance and Corporate Banking to Private Equity and Wealth Management. Abhinav helps in the marketing and brand development efforts for Boond in North India.
